OSL Technology has been awarded a Gold Honouree distinction in the 2025 Military + Aerospace Electronics Innovators Awards for its FACE platform, an AI-powered sensor fusion and decision-support solution for defence, national security, and critical infrastructure.
The Gold award recognises "an excellent innovation, the benefits of which are clear" and honours technologies that represent a substantial improvement over previous methods or products.
FACE was developed to address one of the most urgent challenges in air and ground security: how to make rapid, confident decisions when operators face multiple, fragmented inputs from radar, RF, optical, acoustic, and thermal sensors. The platform fuses these sources, along with operational datasets such as zones, telematics, and track history, into a single, real-time threat picture.
By correlating detections, prioritising relevance, and recommending actions within seconds, FACE reduces operator burden and improves decision speed and accuracy. The platform supports more than 70 sensor types, integrates with existing defence infrastructure, and is fully SAPIENT-compliant. Its architecture enables multi-role sensor use, concurrent threat management, and secure remote oversight across multiple sites.
Already deployed at one of the world's busiest international airports, FACE has demonstrated industry-leading performance with fewer than 0.2 false positives per year in full operational service. This capability is now being extended to military and critical infrastructure sites worldwide.
OSL's Gold Honouree recognition reflects FACE's proven impact in delivering clarity and control in high-tempo, high-risk environments, and its adaptability to the evolving demands of modern security operations.
